About

I am a dual citizenship, British and Canadian, philosopher. I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and grew up mostly in nearby St Margaret’s Bay. I graduated from high school with a bilingual diploma (French and English), before moving to Montreal, where I studied Philosophy and Linguistics at McGill University. My graduate studies were in Philosophy at the University of Oxford, and I was awarded my doctorate in 2008 for a thesis titled Semantics, Metasemantics, and Ontology. I subsequently worked as a Lecturer in Philosophy at St Anne’s College, Oxford, and Balliol College, Oxford, and am now a Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at New College of the Humanities, London, and an Associate Member of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Oxford.

My CV can be found in the menu above. You can contact me by email: firstname.lastname(at) philosophy.ox.ac.uk
