I am a dual citizenship, Canadian and British, philosopher. I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and grew up mostly in nearby St Margaret’s Bay. I graduated from high school with a bilingual diploma (French and English), before moving to Montreal, where I studied Philosophy and Linguistics at McGill University.
My graduate studies were in Philosophy at the University of Oxford. I was awarded my doctorate in 2008 for a thesis titled Semantics, Metasemantics, and Ontology. Since then I have been employed in my current post, as a Lecturer in Philosophy at St Anne’s College, Oxford.
